Pets who arrive for grooming with fleas will be turned away at the door and the owner will be responsible for the cost of their grooming appointment that day.  If a pet arrives with illness or injury that makes grooming unethical or too challenging to complete in the timeline we planned for may need to return another day at additional cost.  Please be thoughtful of these situations prior to arrival so we can plan ahead with you.  Your pet's experience and comfort are our primary concern so please help us make sure your pet's spa day is a positive one.

If your pet is receiving one of the below mentioned grooming services, we can add on a nail trim for a discounted rate of $10.  Cats and Dogs receiving a full trim receive a complimentary nail trim if needed. 

Brush out of matts when possible. Shave out matts when needed. 

Lion cut available starting at $75 depending on severity of matting and animal behaviors. Grooms generally range from $40 - $120 depending upon the requested service, severity of coat condition and tolerance level of the cat.  Nail Trims are $10 with a brush out and complimentary with a Lion Cut if needed. 

If your cat is too "spicy" to complete services in one visit, additional charges may apply at return visit.  We emphasize compassion over vanity so please know we will pause if the process is too stressful.  Many veterinarians will recommend a mild cocktail to help your feline friend relax a little for their spa day!

*We do not bathe cats, dry services available only.

Includes bath, blow dry and brushing. Starting at $30 for dogs with short single/coated fur (think German Short Haired Pointer or Beagle) and shorter. Base rates starting at $45 for long/thicker coat type including poodle type dogs. Pricing will vary depending on size, coat type, coat condition and the dog's behaviors and any add on services you select such as de-matting, face, feet or fanny trims, outline trims, etc..  Please discuss additional needs at time of booking so we allot for enough time.

Includes bath, blow drying, brushing, ear cleaning, nail trim and a full body haircut. Base rates vary from $80-$160 depending upon animal size and coat type.  Additional charges may apply for special needs, challenging behaviors or poorly maintained coat between grooms.

*DEPOSITS and CANCELLATIONS*

A 50% Deposit is required at time of scheduling* This deposit doubles as your cancelation fee if cancelling with more than 48 hours notice but less than one full week.  Same day cancellations/no shows or appointments that arrive too late to be started and finished on time as well as cancellations with less the 48 hours notice will be responsible for 100% of their grooming estimate.  See chart below for more information.

• Cancellations with less than 48 workday hours notice - 100% of Grooming Cost 

If your appointment is scheduled for 8am on Friday, I need to hear from you by 8am on Wednsday. No... 3pm on Wednesday is not 48 hours notice. I'll have lost most of the workday to try to fill the spot.

• Cancellations with more than 48 hours but less than one full week's notice.  - 50% of Grooming Cost

There is not change in policy for this time frame. To reiterate, If your appointment is at 8am on Friday, we need to hear from you by 8am on the Friday prior. That equals one full week's notice.

• Late Drop Off Fee - $10 - $40

We will be strict with this policy moving forward in hopes of eliminating the problem entirely. Fees will vary depending on time, challenges it creates for the day and chronic nature. People who are chronically tardy, no show or frequently cancel last minute will lose booking privileges at RHPS discretion.

• Late Pick Up Fee - $10 - $40

Historically called a "Holding Fee" we will be more strict on this policy moving forward in hopes of eliminating the problem. Fees will vary depending on time, challenges it creates for the day and chronic nature. People who are chronically tardy, no show or frequently cancel last minute will lose booking privileges at RHPS discretion.

What makes RHPS different?

• RHPS only has one dog groomer and one feline groomer so you and your pet know who and what to expect helping reduce anxiety and increase consistency.
• RHPS has slot based appointments so your pet has the groomer’s undivided attention during their appointment and your pet’s exposure to other animals at our facility is minimized.

These strategies are designed to ensure as calm and personalized services as possible for your pet.  Erin is very good at estimating how much time a service will take and always communicates what she anticipates pickup time will be.  Erin typically gives clients a head’s up via text when she’s almost done but you should already have a general idea from your appointment details and conversation with Erin at drop off.  

Please be conscientious and attentive to your phone during your appointments or just plan to arrive when she said she has slotted your pup to be picked up knowing she might have gotten done a few minutes early or might need a few more to finish. She'll see you in the parking lot and come out to you so you don't have to disrupt the groom if she's not quite finished yet. Waiting for a text when you have poor signal and then picking up an hour late because you were waiting on a text and your home is 30 minutes away just doesn’t work.  She plans each grooming appointment back to back so if it feels odd that you haven’t heard from us, that’s a red flag that you likely missed a communication or she thought you were clear on what time to return for your pet.
